Creative Business Management
Many companies within the creative sector are small and need the right business and management knowledge and skills to develop their businesses; the aim of this postgraduate certificate course is to introduce creative graduates to the concepts, theories and practice of creative business management; the course covers the basics of small firm business management by examining the key functions of marketing, finance and project management within a creative business context; as part of the course, students undertake a full-time placement within a creative business in order to help them develop the right transferable skills that enables them to compete effectively within the job market.
1 of the following is required: a recognised UK 1st degree or its equivalent; a BTEC HND or HNC; NVQ level 4; an equivalent professional qualification; professional or technical experience deemed to be appropriate for this programme.
Within each module the assessment methods are designed to contribute to continuing development; students are given regular feedback on ways to improve work so that they can develop their knowledge and skills as the course progresses; there are no examinations.
