Diploma in Management Studies

This course is specifically designed for those who have started their careers and may be working in a wide variety of managerial, technical and professional roles and in an equally wide variety of industries, sectors and professions. It aims to provide students with a rigorous and stimulating postgraduate business and management education, one that will involve them in developing alongside other experienced managers, professionals and technical specialists.

Entry requirements

A recognised UK 1st degree or its equivalent, or a BTEC, HND or HNC, or an NVQ level 4, or an equivalent professional qualification, or business, managerial, professional or technical experience deemed to be appropriate for this course of study.

Course modules

Year 1: Management theory and practice; human resource management; marketing principles and concepts; accounting and finance; management environment; postgraduate study and learning. Year 2: Strategic management; change management; management theory; 1 from: business and management ethics; business and management research methods.

Assessment methods

Within each module the assessment methods are designed to contribute to continuing development and include: Giving feedback on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing periodic evaluations of progress.
