Counselling Skills for Practice

This course is an intermediate counselling skills programme for graduates who are seeking to develop their understanding and practice of intermediate counselling skills.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a 1st degree and have completed an introductory course in counselling skills in addition to having an interest in counselling and psychotherapy.

Assessment methods

Assessment involves 4 separate but linked components; as students begin developing their counselling skills they are required to record their skills work using digital cameras which, upon final submission, are accompanied by a transcription of 30 minutes; a process summary and a critical evaluation of the skills used.
