Palliative Care in Primary Care
These clinical courses are aimed at providing health professionals working in primary care with an understanding of managerial, clinical and research issues that develop specialist interests within primary care; each course promotes the development of complementary skills required to contribute to and influence development and evaluation of specialist clinical interests in a changing primary care environment; as such, these programmes provide a foundation for those professionals seeking to develop a specialist practitioner focus within their career; clinicians have the opportunity to apply the clinical theory, practice and associated research to the provision of specialist interest in primary care practice.
Applicants should have a professional qualification as a healthcare practitioner with a specialist interest in primary care; be actively engaged in healthcare practice within a recognised healthcare organisation.
All course work assignments are directly related to clinical practice and personal development and incorporates either case studies or practice development and reflective learning statements.
