Physiotherapy Professional Practice

The emphasis is on issues relating to the current health and clinical practice agendas which is a theme maintained across all modules; the course has been mapped against key health and social care strategies and is developed in conjunction with clinical partners to ensure that it meets service needs.

Entry requirements

Applications are sought from individuals possessing an Honours degree in physiotherapy, or with a relevant professional qualification, which enables the candidate to register for licence to practice as a physiotherapist either in the UK or in their country of registration; applicants may be asked to attend for a guidance interview; overseas applicants must also be able to demonstrate achievement of IELTS level 7.0, with no less than 6.5 in any individual component, before the start of the programme; students who are undertaking placements require enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Assessment methods

Each module of the course has a series of assessments and examinations; these are designed to develop and test students knowledge and skills at regular intervals throughout the programme.
