Professional Practice (Early Action)

This course has been developed collaboratively by practitioners and academics to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills required to work effectively within multi-Agency teams whether from a statutory organisation, the voluntary sector or a charity. Aimed at personal and professional development for current professionals in the field of multi-agency partnership working and as a natural progression for graduates in policing, law, criminology, sociology or health.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree at level 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualifications and experience

Course modules

Stage 1: History and development of early action; organisational development and partnerships; continuous improvement and learning organisations. Stage 2: Decision-making in the context of threat, risk and harm; ethics and accountability; research methods. Stage 3: Dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on a dissertation.
