This programme explores the fast-growing academic concerns within and allied to international relations, reflecting the speed and complexity with which the world is changing.

Entry requirements

2.1 Honours degree or above in criminology, security studies, politics, international relations or related.

Course modules

Modules explore: International relations (IR) theory; globalisation theory; research method; cold war; east/west relations; US foreign policy; security; gender and human rights; US, UK, China, India, Africa, Middle East

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on essays, other written work, reports, and research presentations; research portfolios, progress reports and case-studies; oral [seminar] presentations and case-based scenarios; results of simulation exercises and reports on them.
