Governance of the Civil UK Nuclear Industry

This innovative postgraduate certificate programme spans nuclear policy at local and national levels across three strands of policy: new build, decommissioning and radioactive waste; the course provides students with an advanced level education into the processes and dynamics of the civil nuclear governance processes; this course spans across applied and academic knowledge and expertise from academics and professionals working with the UK civil nuclear industry as it comes to the forefront of UK energy and environmental policy.

Entry requirements

A recognised undergraduate degree or its equivalent, in social sciences, business or industry-related discipline.

Course modules

Modules include: UK civil nuclear policy; governance theories, issues and cases: the UK civil nuclear industry; the nuclear industry, sustainability and sustainable communities.

Assessment methods

The assessment methods and criteria are linked to the learning outcomes specified for each module; there are 2 written assignments for each of the 3 modules which assess a different aspect of learning.
