Researching Social Care

There are a range of research methods modules in the programme which are designed to ensure that students have opportunities to develop existing skills and to build on their experience and knowledge of social research methods.

Entry requirements

A recognised British 1st degree or its equivalent, or a BTEC Higher Diploma/Certificate. International students must also demonstrate they meet IELTS 7.0 (English language requirement).

Course modules

Modules include: Themes and perspectives in social research; doing social research; developing research skills in social care.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: Essays, a case study, practical assignments.
