Specialist Child Care Practice
In the challenging arena of specialist child care practice it is essential that practitioners have opportunities to develop their learning and education to enhance their skills and knowledge. This award is a specific pathway for practitioners in social work and social care and aims to build on their early professional experience; they will be able to work towards a specified qualification. Practitioners will be able to evidence their learning in each module in order to meet relevant continuing professional development (CPD) standards or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements for renewing their registration.
There is a standard benchmark of a 1st degree at 2.2 or above in a relevant subject, but non-standard entrants with suitable experience in social care and evidence of recent study will be considered. International applications must have an IELTS score of a minimum of 7.0. Applicants will normally be practitioners in an area of social care or social work.
