The University of Chester is an energetic and vibrant learning community committed to providing opportunities for lifelong learning and personal development. The work of our academic staff, students and collaborators has enabled us to develop sixteen focused areas of international research excellence.
The impact of our outstanding researchers on the work of postgraduate students extends much more widely than the subjects in the list above. We have created interdisciplinary and specialist Research Centres in order to develop a stimulating research culture in which students and staff explore important areas of human knowledge from a variety of disciplines. Every student who comes to Chester will have the opportunity to interact with researchers with an international reputation.
Our postgraduate learning and research facilities are located on five sites in or near Chester: Parkgate Road Campus, Riverside Campus, Kingsway Campus and Thornton Science Park, and also at our Warrington Campus.
Each of our sites have a number of learning resources, including libraries and open-access computer labs available to all students, as well as departmental facilities specific to the subjects taught at each site.
Our Parkgate Road and Warrington Campuses house our main central support departments, including Student Support and Guidance, Careers and Employability, and Finance, as well as Chester Students' Union.
We also offer postgraduate courses and research opportunities at University Centre Shrewsbury. This is a joint venture with Shropshire County Council to launch a university within the county.
