Management with Human Resource Management

The programme is designed to be attractive to those individuals who wish to augment a 1st degree in a different subject, with an understanding of management; students study 3 of the functional areas of management and combine these with study of people in organisations, information systems and research methods; this pathway enables participants to develop a breadth and depth of understanding of contemporary human resource (HR) issues to enable students to become successful HR practitioners at both an operational and a strategic level; the pathway closely mirrors the professional standards of the UK Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development which is the world's leading body of HR professionals.

Entry requirements

Minimum of lower 2nd Class Honours degree, or equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: People and performance; employment dynamics; managing in organisations; strategic financial management; strategic marketing management; management research methods; management research project.

Assessment methods

Assessment is through a combination of written assignments, projects, presentations or examination.
