This course is designed to develop professional managers for the rapidly developing digital marketing sector. It aims to provide you with both a strategic and practical overview of digital marketing channels and how they integrate into an overall marketing plan. You will learn about key areas of digital marketing strategy, the application of digital technologies and how to monitor campaigns. This includes the development of practical and creative skills in the areas of: email marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), online advertising, website usability, affiliate marketing, online PR and social media.
A 1st degree in a complementary area, usually 2.2 or above, and/or suitable work experience, is required. Applicants whose 1st language is not English must provide evidence of proficiency to IELTS 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in each band or equivalent.
Modules include: digital marketing strategy and planning; advertising in a converged age; digital marketing acquisition, conversion and retention; motion graphics for smart media; social and digital media; preparing for business research; business research project.
The course is assessed through a mixture of project work, written assignments, presentations and a research report.
