This course is design to develop professionals who are in or wish to be in roles which deal with the management of technological assets such as information systems, plant and equipment or research and design facilities. Students will study both management theory and practice in the context and operations of differing sectors to help prepare them for a career in a number of potential sectors.
Lower 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent. Prior experience of business and/or management is not required for entry onto this programme. Applications are also welcome from those with non-standard entry qualifications and experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English must provide evidence of English language proficiency; typically this would be IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in each band.
Modules include: Strategic people management; managing innovation; health and social care commissioning; strategic financial management; leadership and change management; management research methods; management research project.
The course is assessed through a mixture of project work, written assignments, presentations and a research report.
