Early Childhood

This course is designed to meet the interests of a wide range of participants from universities, colleges, schools and local authorities; it also caters for professionals from backgrounds outside education such as children's services, and health and social care settings; it develops the capacity in participants to relate policy and practice within a multi-professional context.

Entry requirements

Lower 2nd Class Honours degree, or equivalent; successful applicants will be called to interview.

Course modules

Core modules: Children and communities; the developing child 0-5 years; the 21st century child; leadership and management in early childhood; technology and childhood; researching early childhood; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Students are assessed through a range of coursework which includes a digital presentation using a technology of choice, a position paper, and essays.
