Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation
This programme is designed to meet the market demand for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and qualifications in cardiovascular rehabilitation for health professionals.
Minimum of a lower 2nd Class Honours degree in a related subject area, or equivalent professional qualifications and relevant work experience; applications are invited from health professionals.
Core modules: ardiovascular anatomy and exercise physiology; cardiovascular diseases, risk factors, investigations and treatments; research methods and data analysis; optional modules include: nutrition and cardiovascular health; clinical exercise, testing, prescription and programming; cardiovascular psychology; programme planning and management; physical activity and exercise programming in the management of cardiovascular disease; performance enhancement, advanced exercise practice in cardiac rehabilitation.
There are no formal examinations; MSc students must undertake a personal research project.
