Cardiovascular Rehabilitation (Mumbai)

The course provides knowledge, research and practical experience of the latest methods and techniques in cardiovascular rehabilitation as per established international standards; on completion of this course students are able to enhance their careers in hospitals, clinics and independent practice as skilled professionals and consultants to the health care industry.

Entry requirements

Lower 2nd Class Honours degree in a related subject area, or equivalent professional qualifications; consideration is also given to applicants with relevant work experience, background knowledge and skills; applications welcome from the following professions: nursing, medicine, dietetics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, food industry, health promotion, leisure industry, teaching/lecturing, emergency services (police, fire, ambulance, military), sport, coaching, physical education, sports science.

Course modules

Core modules: Cardiovascular disease; risk factors; investigations and treatment; cardiovascular anatomy and exercise physiology; clinical exercise testing and prescription.

Assessment methods

Each taught module is assessed by a 5000 word written assignment or its equivalent; there are no formal examinations.
