University of Chester
Research topics vary widely, according to personal interests; although research may be conducted within any of the university's academic departments, the university also maintains a number of distinctive specialist research centres to support and enhance the student's study options.
Applicants should normally have, or expect to obtain, at least an Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a discipline appropriate to their intended area of research; substantial prior research experience may, in some instances, be acceptable in place of a 1st degree qualification; if the student is not sure whether this might apply to them, they need to contact the Graduate School who will be able to advise them; international students must provide evidence of English proficiency at the time of application; information about English language tests is normally available from the British Council office; international applicants whose most recent qualification has been taken in English may be exempt from the university's usual English Language requirements.
