Clinical Counselling

The programme is based on the person-centred approach to counselling and has been designed to enable participants to develop into counselling practitioners; students are required to attend an away day and 1 residential weekend in year 1, and 2 residential weekends in year 2; students are also required to have received at least 20 hours of personal counselling, 10 in the 1st year; in addition, in the 2nd and 3rd years, students are required to undertake a minimum of 150 hours of supervised counselling practice and 50 hours of administration in an approved placement.
