This is an innovative and flexible programme that combines professional relevance with contemporary needs and interests of teachers and others working in education settings. The programme creates a supportive reflective space for professionals to evaluate how their study impacts on practice and student learning outcomes.

Entry requirements

MA (Ed): We welcome applications from all professionals working in the field of education, with or without QTS. Standard requirements: normally graduate status (second class honours or above); work in an education related field; overseas applicants - a certified level of proficiency in English of at least IELT 6.5 or its equivalent. If you do not have a degree or have a class 3 degree, your application will be considered individually on merit.

Course modules

The programme consists of four 30 credit modules and a dissertation. Students are also able to select modules from other Master's programmes within the Institute of Education at the University of Chichester, for example MA in Inclusive Special Education.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: video diaries; practitioner research projects; 6,000-word essays; and presentations.
