This course will enable students to acquire a broad, robust, and practical knowledge of business administration in a global business context. It also provides the opportunity to focus on 1 of 3 specialised areas: The essential knowledge and skills required of international business managers; Integrative modules: strategy and research method, as well as specialist modules. This programme focuses on developing managerial and general business knowledge and skills required to operate successfully and excel in an international business environment. Students will develop the cultural awareness to enable them to make an impact in an international commercial environment. After completing the course, students will have a strong grounding in international business and will be well placed to pursue careers relating to international business within a range of organisations or business environments.
A good Honours degree (2.2 or above) or equivalent at degree level; non-native speakers of English are expected to have IELTS 6.5, or equivalent (with no element less than 6.0)
Term 1 modules: management (15 credits); marketing management (15 credits); accounting and finance (15 credits); global economics (15 credits). Term 2 modules: international business (15 credits); elective choice (15 credits); strategic management (15 credits); research methods (15 credits). Term 3 modules: dissertation (60 credits).
