International Business and Finance

This programme will develop the knowledge and skills of business and finance, as well as the cultural awareness to enable students to make an impact in an international commercial environment. After completing the course, students will have a strong grounding in international business and finance and will be well placed to pursue careers in finance relating to international business within a range of organisations or business environments. The learning focus of the programme is to enable you to acquire a broad, robust and practical knowledge of business administration and finance in a global business context. The essential knowledge and skills required of international business managers are covered in term 1. This leaves term 2 to conclude with integrative modules (strategy and research methods) and specialist finance modules.

Entry requirements

Honours degree (2.2 or above) or equivalent; non-native speakers of English are expected to have IELTS 6.5 (with no element less than 6.0).

Course modules

Term 1 modules: management (15 credits); marketing management (15 credits); accounting and finance (15 credits); global economics (15 credits). Term 2 modules: corporate finance (15 credits); corporate governance (15 credits); strategic management (15 credits); research methods (15 credits). Term 3 modules: dissertation (60 credits)
