The programme enables students to develop their dance practice as a performer. Options to study as an independent researcher or choreographer, individually or in collaboration with other artists, are also available. There are also opportunities to engage in leading research with interactive technologies.
2.2 in dance or other related subjects or qualifications with relevant professional experience. An academic qualification equivalent to a degree with relevant professional experience. All candidates wishing to follow the performance route must demonstrate advanced level performance skills at audition consisting of ballet, contemporary technique, repertory workshop and interview.
Core modules: repertory 1 (60 credits); techniques for performance (30 credits). Optional modules: dance writing and performance (30 credits); new media and performance practice (30 credits).
Assessment is through a variety of methods, including Individual and group seminar presentations, essays, performance and exhibitions, devising for various teaching situations and compositional devising.
