International Management

This course explores international management literature, examining the relevance of management studies, and critically assessing how theory can be informed by the current economic climate. The world economy is no longer contained by national borders and yet the practice of management can be widely varied. Intellectual and industry-informed debates enhances students' development and help prepare them for a career in the international marketplace

Entry requirements

1st or 2nd Class Honours degree; students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) procedures.

Course modules

Modules include: Leadership and organisational behaviour; strategic thinking and effecting change; finance for the professional manager; cross cultural management; people and profit; contemporary issues in business; principals of postgraduate management research; independent project.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: Case study; reflective reports; academic essay; e-portfolio; production and presentation of reports; poster and oral presentation; written report; online assessment; research proposal; dissertation.
