Finance and Accounting

This award is designed to provide progression from a professionally accredited undergraduate programme. Those applying to this award will therefore be seeking to debate and discuss ideas that challenge contemporary financial thinking and accounting concepts. The course has embedded the university themes of 'sustainability', 'creativity', 'employability' and 'enterprise' and is taught through a programme of modules that will influence your individual contribution to financial leadership within a range of organisations (profit and non-profit).

Entry requirements

1st or 2nd Class Honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via accredited prior learning (APL) procedures.

Course modules

The programme of study combines a range of modules that consider case studies of current company, organisational financial development and growth strategies inculcating discussions with entrepreneurial and creative thinking. Bespoke modules, such as those in ethical and sustainable finance and international financial management, allow you to study across particular areas of interest whilst core modules in strategic corporate finance, and financial governance and risk management ensure that you consider the financial challenges businesses face in today's economy.
