Contemporary Fine Art

This interdisciplinary course offers you the opportunity to engage in an intensive personal programme of study within a supportive critical framework and to locate your position within contemporary practice. The course is supported by technical resources including workshops for sculpture, printmaking, photographic studios, AV studios and editing suites.

Entry requirements

1st or 2nd class Honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via APL procedures. Each application is assessed individually on merit. Selection is by interview with portfolio. Applications are welcome from people without the standard qualifications if they can demonstrate the skills and capacity necessary for academic study at postgraduate level.

Course modules

Studio practice one and two; research and development; enquiry and critical analysis; practice and critical analysis.

Assessment methods

Seminars; critiques; peer presentations; through negotiated learning agreements made with staff at the beginning of modules; tutorials; comprehensive written feedback.
