Our course is aimed at serving police officers and staff who hold a suitable role which will allow them to fully engage with the programmes intended learning outcomes and assessment strategy. This will include undertaking a piece of work-based research. Modules around leadership, investigation, ethics, community engagement and strategic planning are available.
1st or 2nd Class Honours degree. The course is aimed at serving police officers and staff who hold a suitable role which will allow them to fully engage with the programme's intended learning outcomes and assessment strategy. Applications for direct entry will be considered based on previous learning and experience as a police officer.
Modules on the programme have been designed to complement and enhance traditional police training programme. The course also offers the opportunity for individuals engaged in employment with the wider police family and key stakeholders. Modules subject areas include: Ethics and integrity in the profession; strategic partnerships and community engagement; human security in a global context; leadership and sustainability; human rights; crime and society; students will also have the opportunity to undertake piece of work based research.
