Develop your understanding of a range of international health issues by exploringsocial, cultural, economic, political and environmental influences shaping population health around the world. You will develop and master the analytical skills required to unravel and respond to complex issues in international health improvement. A feature of this programme is the inclusion of international associates based in Brazil, the USA and Kyrgyzstan within our core team.
1st or 2nd class Honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via APL procedures.
Unit 1: Health improvement and social change; global issues, and globalisation; migration and health; unit 2: Health in transition and research methods plus a 3rd module chosen from: International health project; collaborative action for health; participatory health needs appraisal; dissertation.
