University of Derby
Film and Photography
This course provides a unique and exciting opportunity for those who wish to specialise in still and moving imagery, and work creatively across disciplines. The course integrates theory and practice across lens-based media, dissolving the traditional boundaries between still and moving image to encourage both original thinking and individuality within a lively, challenging community. The College of Art has strong community links, including connections with Derby Theatre, Déda, and QUAD. Film and Photography students have the opportunity to be involved with the international exhibition and conference FORMAT - as participants, exhibiters and interns for some of the world's most influential contemporary artists. The University also has a close relationship with the Malta Film Commission through which past students have gained experience working on location with Directors such as Michael Bay and Luc Besson.
