International Hospitality Management

This qualification is suitable for industry professionals looking for career progression in international hospitality management. The course focuses on application, assimilation, attitude and providing answers, practices that are central to hospitality leaders. Students will develop an understanding of the management of cultural diversity, the internationalisation of the industry, marketing, finance and strategy in a wide variety of contexts, including hotels, exhibitions, festivals, product launches, trade shows and sporting events.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 (or above) Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised British or overseas institution. All subjects are considered but possession of a degree or relevant experience in a related subject will be advantageous. A significant portfolio of work at appropriate level or relevant professional qualifications will also be considered. Every applicant is assessed individually on their merits and will need to attend either a face to face or Skype interview.

Course modules

Modules include: operations and project management; managing the international hospitality service experience; research methodologies; integrated business management; strategic directions; independent scholarship.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: briefing reports, pitches, presentations, essays, unseen examinations and case studies.
