Post-14 (Education and Training)
This course will prepare you for the practical demands of teaching in the further education and skills sector. You will be based at the university for two days a week and spend two days a week on a teaching placement. You will also undergo a six week block placement in February. This valuable real world experience will allow you to explore the full range of roles carried out by teaching staff. When you graduate, you�ll be eligible to apply for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
You will need an undergraduate degree (minimum 2.2) in a subject that is applicable to the further education and skills sector, such as psychology, law, media, sports and music technology. You will also need GCSE grade C or above in English language and maths GCSE (or level 2 in literacy and numeracy).
