Post 14 with Specialism (English Literacy, Mathematics or Teaching Learners with Disabilities)
Depending on your preference and prior experience, you can either specialise in English, Maths, or teaching learners with disabilities. The course will prepare you for the practical demands of teaching in the F.E. and Skills sector and you will complete an alternative placement in a different setting, which you are expected to have fulfilled before the course starts. When you graduate, you�ll be eligible to apply for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
You will need an undergraduate degree (minimum 2.2) in English language, mathematics or a degree with an element of teaching disabled learners/special educational needs. You will also need GCSE grade C or above in English language and mathematics (or level 2 in literacy and numeracy).
