Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy

Students on this course explore the theoretical, social, cultural and ideological contexts in which clients perceive, confront and manage problems.

Entry requirements

Honours degree and a minor qualification in counselling or counselling skills; applicants should be working as a counsellor or psychotherapist in some capacity. Students whose 1st language is not English should have IELTS 7.0 or the TOEFL/Pearson equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: integrating psychotherapeutic theory and practice; professional practice 1; current developments in psychotherapeutic theory and practice; research methods, ethics and law in psychotherapeutic practice; professional integrative practice; professional practice 2.

Assessment methods

There are some practical assessments, written assignments, and the final dissertation.
