Health and Social Care Practice

This course is aimed at a range of health and social care professionals interested in the development of their practice or the development of clinical or social services. During this course students have the opportunity to develop a range of relevant skills that will boost their understanding and knowledge across a range of occupations.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a PgDip or a Master's award in an appropriate academic field, or equivalent; applicants should also have a professional qualification or accreditation; all suitable applicants will be interviewed; where English is not the applicants 1st language, an IELTS score of 7.5, or equivalent, is required.

Course modules

Modules include: engaging with study at doctoral level; service and practice development; independent scholarship for professional practice and service development.

Assessment methods

Assessment is through written assignments, writing up projects and research, formal dissemination of work, a thesis and a viva voce assessment.
