Biological Sciences

This course has been designed to provide students with an opportunity to plan, execute and critically analyse their own research to become a confident and independent research scientist.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree (typically 2.2 or higher) in biological sciences or a related discipline. Applicants who have professional experience in biological sciences, may also be considered as eligible for this course. Applicants selected for an interview, will be asked to submit a 1 page proposal outlining the areas of interest for their potential research project. Applicants whose 1st language is not English will need to hold IELTS 7.0. All international students will have a Skype interview.

Course modules

Modules include: research skills; essential skills for scientists; independent research.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: essays, portfolios, a dissertation, blogs, presentations and a viva voce.
