Applied Petroleum Geoscience

Our course enables you to build upon your existing geoscience knowledge to create a wider and more encompassing understanding of the petroleum system. This comprehensive course combines both academic and practical teaching. Our tutors all have extensive experience and will give you a real insight into the oil industry. Teaching takes place in the classroom, laboratory, and in the field, giving you an encompassing and varied learning experience.

Entry requirements

1st or 2nd class undergraduate degree in a geoscience subject. You will normally need one of the following English language qualifications: IELTS 6.0; GCE O level English language grade C; GCSE English grade C. Other equivalent English language qualifications may be accepted and you should provide full details with your application.

Assessment methods

Assessment includes written coursework, presentations and timed essays.
