Financial Leadership

The Derby Business School collaborates with CPA Australia, a professional accounting body. Students acquire both strategic finance and leadership skills and learn to utilise these elements in making a difference to the success of their organisation and their personal career progression.

Entry requirements

Managers with 2 to 3 years' work experience in a finance role; and may hold a 2.2 Bachelor's in any accounting and finance related degree; and/or may be part or fully qualified/associates of a professional accounting body e.g. part/fully qualified CPA Australia/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW/ICAS and ICS. Applications are welcomed from people of all ages as long as they can be considered adequately prepared to be successful on the programme.

Course modules

Subjects include: corporate financial strategy; leading and managing the finance function; strategic projects; financial governance; personal leadership; independent study.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: presentations; conference papers; case study evaluation; debating; research based assessments; report based assessments.
