This course enables students to gain the experience and professional capabilities in order to reach the Health and Care Profession Council's Standards of Proficiency, which will entitle students to apply to register as a social worker. Upon successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge, skills and practical experience required to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council to be registered as a qualified social worker.
Modules include: international social welfare; preparation for practice learning; social work law; practice learning 1; practice learning 2; youth and crime; safeguarding adults; protecting and safeguarding children and young people; independent study.
Assessment methods include: written assignments, presentations, role play and viva voces.
