Behaviour Change (Environment and Conservation)

This pathway was designed to support practitioners in the environment and conservation sectors, and graduates interested in applied work settings. It is suitable for those keen to promote nature conservation, or to engage people with the natural world for the benefit of health and wellbeing. Students learn about theoretical and applied approaches to nature conservation and nature connectedness, and how to apply behaviour change models. Students will be taught by a team of expert psychologists and benefit from exchanges with students across the behaviour change pathways, increasing their multidisciplinary outlook on behaviour change.

Psychology for Behaviour Change; Theories and Models of Behaviour; Applied Behaviour Change Interventions; Research and Evaluation; Systems Context; Positive Psychology, Health and Wellbeing; Occupational Health and Safety and Behaviour Change; Environment and Behaviour; Ergonomics and Human Factors; Research Project in Behaviour Change.

Assessment methods

Assessment is via coursework.
