The course comprises a major research project, specialist qualitative and quantitative research methods modules, and a series of online research skills modules. The course uses a blended learning approach integrating periods of online learning combined with short campus study blocks and flexible individual supervision. Students are also encouraged to take up opportunities to design their research in relation to real-world issues and in collaboration with existing networks both within and outside the university.
