BA Professional Development in Volunteer Management

The BA Professional Development course allows you to specialise in your field of expertise and develop the skills and adaptability required to respond effectively to the changing demands of your professional workplace. This course will help you to develop more effective practice in your own profession. You will be required to study your own practice; to explore ways in which you can test new ideas and to explore modules of continuing professional development, applying them to your own circumstances. This degree aims to enhance good practice in the management of volunteers by presenting a range of frameworks, models and theories to help participants increase knowledge and skills in volunteer management and in professional development. The module has been developed in consultation with third sector organisations, practitioners and managers in order to enhance opportunities for continuing professional development in managing volunteers.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Arts - BA: The following are the minimum, up-to-date entry requirements. The course has flexible entry and exit points allowing you to enter at a level appropriate to your level of education and experience. You are encouraged to seek credit for prior formal learning and for experience. Recognition of experiential learning is available for up to 50% of the level to which you are applying. for entry to level 7, you need 3 Highers or equivalent for entry to level 8 you need the equivalent of 120 credits for entry to level 9, the equivalent of 240 credits
