Current research projects include: Development of an alternative alveolar bone graft for cleft lip and palate; EGF and TGFα Motogenic activities are mediated by the EGF receptor: Identification of the signalling pathways involved in oral cancer; Identification of genes involved in F. nucleatum virulence and investigation of the response of eukaryotic cells to invasion; Is there a Role for Activated Akt in Palatogenesis?; Palatogenesis: Is there a Relationship between TGFβ3 and Hyaluronan Synthase Expression in vitro?; Periodontal disease; The interaction between the Growth Factor VEGF and the Signal Transduction Molecule Akt in Oral Cancer.

Entry requirements

Honours degree at 2.1 or above, and/or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline. English language requirement: IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in the written component and no less than 5.5 in any other component, if the 1st language is not English.
