Individual Humanities Module

These modules enable students to develop specialist expertise in a topic new to them or perhaps refresh their knowledge in a topic that is familiar but which they studied long ago. Students study alongside Master's students, and belong to a postgraduate community. There are over 70 modules available in a variety of subject areas. Most modules are taught via one face-to-face class each week, some have fortnightly classes. The format of the classes varies depending on the subject and class size.

Entry requirements

2.1 Honours degree in a relevant discipline. Applicants with alternative qualifications and/or relevant experience may also be considered. IELTS: 7.0.

Course modules

Modules explore: literature; theatre; comics; film; Scottish and global history, politics and security; philosophy; creative writing.

Assessment methods

Presentations, essays and course journals to assess our postgraduate modules. There are no exams.
