Mathematics for the Financial Sector (MSc)

Students on this course enhance their analytical and critical abilities and competence in the application of mathematics to solve real world problems.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours BSc (or equivalent) in mathematics or another relevant mathematical discipline. IELTS of 6.0 (or equivalent) if the 1st language is not English.

Course modules

Modules may include: dynamical systems; stochastic processes; global financial markets; optimisation in finance and energy; derivatives and risk management; computational modelling; econometrics for finance; inverse problems; global risk analysis.

Assessment methods

Written examinations, coursework/continuous assessment, project report.
