Professional Legal Practice
This course is a postgraduate, vocational qualification which must be obtained by students who wish to pursue a career in the legal profession in Scotland, either as a solicitor or advocate.
Degree (LLB) in Scots law (with professionally required subjects). IELTS of 6.5 (or equivalent), if the 1st language is not English.
Modules include: civil court practice (conveyancing); criminal court practice; financial services and accounting; practice management; private client; professional ethics plus either company/commercial or public administration.
Assessment is through coursework and examinations.
