World Art Studies

The Graduate Diploma provides an introduction to art history. If you have already completed an undergraduate degree in a subject other than art history and you now wish to pursue art history at MA or research level, this course will bring you up to speed with the subject.

Entry requirements

Applicants require a good Honours degree at minimum 2.1 standard or equivalent. All applicants who are not a British national and/or whose first language is not English will need to demonstrate a suitable level of English language proficiency. This is equivalent to an IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components, although we do accept many other types of qualifications or tests. In accordance with the UK Border Agencies Tier 4 visa guidelines, we will also waive the English language requirement for applicants who meet the defined nationality test or who have completed a degree level course in one of the listed countries.

Course modules

Students select 6 modules from an extensive range of undergraduate modules offered by the School.

Assessment methods

Assessment takes place throughout your period of study. The majority of modules are assessed by a combination of coursework and examination.
