Current research topics include: the production, consumption and circulation of women in the films of Woody Allen; between men with badges: violence, authority and homosexuality in 1970s action films; a tough job for Donald Duck: Hollywood and Czechoslovakia 1945-68; representations of men and masculinity in 90s British film; Iceland and cinema: how is Iceland nationality represented in cinema?; cinema, architecture and the language of non-objective art; science fiction on British television during the BBC monopoly: 1936-1955.
2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent overseas qualification), a good Masters in a relevant field plus evidence of ability in English language equivalent to IELTS minimum 7.0 in writing and minimum of 6.5 in each component.
