Medieval History

This course focuses on the period 900-1400AD and is designed to provide the opportunity for specialist study in seminar groups of various key topics, and for the compilation of a sustained piece of independent work on a topic of particular interest to the candidate; students gain the technical skills needed by the medieval historian: medieval Latin; the study of handwriting (palaeography); and the study of the form of documents (diplomatic).
