Nursing and Midwifery

Research focuses on the themes of clinical and service research, education and policy evaluation; the degree is based on the candidate's own original research which is carried out under the direction of 1 or more supervisors; computing and a number of other facilities are provided for research students; the research environment is also enhanced by regular research seminars, often with invited national or international speakers, as well as interdisciplinary workshops and conferences.

Entry requirements

An Upper 2nd Honours degree, or a Master's degree in a professional field or a related health and social care area, or equivalent; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.5) with a minimum 7.0 in each individual component), or equivalent; where a visa for study is required, UK Borders Agency minimum English requirements must be met.
