University of East Anglia UEA
Clinical Research (National Institute for Health Research route)
If you have an enquiring mind and a thirst for knowledge then this could be the course for you. The MSc in Clinical Research NIHR is a first step on the HEE/NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic Pathway for non-medical healthcare professions. This pathway aims to develop clinical researchers who will lead the integration of research into the clinical environment. Successful students have the potential to move through the pathway to Senior Clinical Lectureship positions. The NIHR Masters in Clinical Research teaches students how to link theory and method with the practical skills to design and carry out in-depth healthcare research, culminating in an opportunity to carry out a piece of individual research linked to UEA's top academics. You will also be able to develop leadership qualities to help you deliver the best and most effective service, in whatever field of health care you operate. This course is an ideal precursor to application for an NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship.
This is a fully funded studentship sponsored by Health Education England and the National Institute for Health Research. Studentships cover the participants salary including 'on-costs' and academic fees. The studentship has funding attached. It is only available to UK citizens or those who have been resident in the UK for a period of 3 years or more.
